About Course

Pain management is essential in management of cancers. Opoids are the mainstay pain management but combination with non-opioids analgesics is allowed when doing equianalgesic pain drugs eg NSAIDS, tramadol and fentanyl. The route of administration allows ease of administration and improves compliance. The side effect profile is also considered because the pain will be on a longer duration of pain treatments. Constipations for opioids should be managed with lactulose and GI side effects by use of PPIs eg omeprazole
